In
collaboration with the Highlands Ranch Pagan Meetup, some of us with
Reclaiming Spirit are offering to co-create a ritual for Litha.
We are planning
to meet Saturday, June 28, 2008 at 3:00 PM at the Lair O the Bear park
up past Morrison.
More information
from HRPM's Joy:
"Please join
us for an open ritual, barbecue, and drumming down the sun for LITHA.
Although we are celebrating about a week after the actual summer solstice,
we'll be celebrating the fabulous energies of the sun and this time
of the longest days of the year and the shortest nights. This will be
a larger event, and it will be a collaboration between HRPM and the
Reclaiming Spirit group, which you may recall led the evening ritual
at our Beltane festival. Feel free to come for all or part of the mini-festival.
Date: June 28, 2008
(Saturday). The ritual should start around 3pm, letting the beauty of
nature surround us in its awesome power. Then, in typical HRPM fashion,
we'll enjoy a feast and each other's company. We'll start drumming as
the sun starts to lower in the western sky and stay there as long as
we feel the magic....
We will host the
event at Lair o' the Bear Park. Please bring: a picnic potluck item
to share (grill available, HRPM will be providing burgers , hot dogs,
and buns), water, sunscreen, insect repellent (not sure if we'll need
it), blanket and/or lawn chair, drums or musical instruments if you've
got 'em, your own ritual items if desired, and whatever else might be
necessary for a day at
the park. We'll be there rain or shine!"
